Custom Cottage Renovations Inc. (CCR) was formed in 1988 by Terry and Susan Roe who were later joined by their son, Steve. CCR is a family owned and operated full service remodeling business. Over the last 19 years, CCR has done a number of home inspections for it’s clients. Some of whom were getting ready to sell and wanted to make sure…“all was well with their home”…before putting it on the market. Other clients wanted CCR to…. “look the new place over”…before purchasing the home.  Due to the number of CCR’s remodeling clients that were requesting inspections, CCR Home Inspections developed as a natural progression. While CCR is still in business as a remodeling company, CCR Home Inspections is now the company’s primary focus. Terry and Steve find that much of their home inspection insight is due to their remodeling experiences along with the over 54 years of combined construction knowledge.

About Terry:
    Terry Roe, founder, owner, and President of CCR, has over 36 years of experience in the construction field. Prior to starting CCR, Terry was Vice-President of Operations for a mechanical contracting firm. He has also worked as a Project Manager on numerous job sites.

About Steve:
    Steve has worked in the construction field for 18 years. After graduation Steve spent 2 years training to and installing wood stoves, fireplaces, and gas logs. By now CCR was growing fast enough to support the whole family so Steve joined CCR with the understanding that he had to “learn to earn” with no special breaks because he was the owner’s child. As a result Steve spent 2 years taking Electricians training to add to his Hearth Association training. When Steve married in 1999 he was offered a job as Head of Commercial Sales and Installation for a Fireplace and Patio chain specializing in working with building contractors and training installers of all types of fireplaces, gas logs, and wood stoves. When the owner retired and closed the business Steve opted to return to CCR. Steve and Terry have been working together ever since.

Terry and Steve are both graduates of International Training Associates (ITA) National Home Inspectors Course, have taken and passed the National Home Inspection Exam (NHIE) and are continuously updating their education and training in the home inspection field.
